IT ALL STARTED AT A DINNER PARTY…

Our CEO Kia, had a vision of bringing together all-stars of industry leaders to start something that is greater than the sum of its parts. He knew that if each person he had in mind would join, together we could make the impact that we’ve been waiting for… (if you’re a Marvel Avengers fan this story could sound familiar…) To all of our surprise, when we put our heads together we found that not only did our diverse backgrounds elevate the output in our work, but each team member became supercharged with powers we learned from each other, and each persons’ capacity increased.

We realized that if we were going to advise other organizations on the future of work, we better reimagine it for ourselves!  So we asked ourselves the tough questions, like, “Do we even need a leader? Can we all lead, or rotate leadership? Can we have 100% transparency? No performance reviews? Can we form a true collaborative partnership?  The good news is that our little experiment seems to be working…

We enjoyed home cooked mushroom tacos and Persian jeweled rice, lots of laughs, and a shared connection to wanting to make a bigger impact than what we each were doing alone.

HOW OUR NAME CAME TO BE

We thought deeply about what concept could describe traveling along a journey together. We looked into the names of different animal groupings and cultural references, but we wanted to embody elements of fun, exploration, preparation, and curiosity…and the analogy revealed itself…a road trip! When each of us gets into the vehicle and can bring their whole selves, favorite snacks, music, jokes, as well as their priorities and concerns, through communication and planning we can truly #ArriveTogether
